Center Point Decimal Latitude & Longitude:
We need to refine the marker positions for our parishes.
This map currently has the first pass on locating parishes based on
public geocoder tools.
Now we need local 'eyes' to correctly identify parishes in the satellite images
so that the markers are accurately positioned.
Enough local landmarks are visible
at the maximum zoom level that you will be able to identify your church's building.
Directions:
Select your parish from list in the sidebar and click.
An information window will open over the marker for your parish.
Change map view to Hybrid by clicking 'Hybrid' button.
Double click on your parish's marker. This will center the map on the marker.
Zoom in to max zoom (Slider all the way toward the 'plus' sign (+)
Examine the satellite image and find your church's building.
Double click on the appropriate building. This centers the map on the building.
Write down the decimal latitude and longitude that is reported
below the map (above these directions).
Send this information to the webteam at St. Barnabas.
We will update the data file for your parish so that the marker will be correctly located!
