This Sunday, April 9, is Palm Sunday. Our worship starts with the excitement of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem and ends with the solemn Passion gospel story.
Because this is the Second Sunday, we will follow our Second Sunday worship pattern of 8 and 10 o'clock worship. However, due to the somber end to the liturgy, we will not be having our usual fellowship brunch afterwards.
Doris Weeks is bringing her young donkey (who coat has the markings of a cross on its back) to lead us on our procession from the Chapel garden to the Church.
Won't you join us on our start of Holy Week?
And Palm Sunday is only the beginning.
Join us for the
Three Sacred Days, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil at the close of Holy Saturday.
These three days are the most sacred part of our church year. They represent the basis of our beliefs as Christians. In the Episcopal church, we have certain liturgies which we use only on these holy days. Don't be shy if you have never been to one of these services, you can
read more about each of them here and then join us in worship to experience their mystery and majesty.
