Journey to Adulthood: Rite-13 Starts in March

Journey to Adulthood is a mentor-guided exploration of faith for teenagers. It was developed by an Episcopal church in North Carolina and is now used all over the country, and we're talking about starting it here at Saint Barnabas! The first stage of the program is Rite-13 (sixth and seventh grades), a two year segment that focuses on celebrating the individuality of each young person and their creative potential, through exploring life, faith and responsibility. This program helps us figure out the connections between what we hear in church and from the Bible, and our lives Monday through Friday. It prepares teenagers for making decisions as youth adult Christians living in the real world.

If you are a sixth or seventh grader are interested in participating in the Rite-13 program, a parent who wants more information, or an adult interested in helping with the program, we encourage you to check out the Journey to Adulthood website. The site has all kinds of fantastic information about this exciting program, new for Saint Barnabas!

If you're interested in participating in Rite-13 or have any questions, please contact Kate Stebinger at the church office or email her: kate at stbarnabasfalmouth dot org (email address 'spelled out' to reduce spam). The class will be meeting
beginning in March, during our Sunday ten o'clock Education Hour.
