Nursery Care

The Nursery program is available for infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) on Sunday mornings throughout the year. The primary mission of our nursery is to build relationships: between children and caregiver, and among children as they prepare to advance to the preschool class.

Children do art projects together that correlate with the activities in the preschool class, and—weather permitting—spend time outside on our enclosed playground along Siders Pond.

Nursery Care

The Nursery program is available from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. for infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) on Sunday mornings img_0502.jpg throughout the year. The primary mission of our nursery is to build relationships: between children and caregiver, and among children as they prepare to advance to the preschool class.

Children do art projects together that correlate with the activities in the preschool class, and—weather permitting—spend time outside on our enclosed playground along Siders Pond. Two-year olds in the nursery program join the preschool class for story and activity, and all nursery children are brought to the church during the peace and announcements. St. Barnabas believes in community Eucharist and having our youngest parishioners there is essential to this shared experience. The church becomes lively when the children enter, so any joyful noise from toddlers blends right in!

Our nursery director has been teaching since 1994 and is a MA state licensed teacher for infants, toddlers, and preschool. All nursery staff and volunteers are CORI-checked and our director is SafeChurch trained. All toys and activities are age appropriate.
