Youth Service Corps
The St. Barnabas Youth Service Corps is designed for middle- and high-schoolers (grades 6-12) who want to continue—or begin—a commitment to serving others in need.
The Service Corps meets the first Sunday of the month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. throughout the academic year to participate in service activities that serve others in the St. Barnabas parish, Falmouth community, and beyond. Through activities large and small, direct and indirect, for communities both local and abroad, youth will be given ample opportunities to discover the benefits and challenges to helping others, and find ways to serve others in their everyday lives.
In addition to these service-related discussions and activities, youth are encouraged to participate at the fullest degree in the ritual of the church service by volunteering as acolytes, readers, ushers, or Sunday school helpers.
The Youth Service Corps is open to all youth in our community and St. Barnabas youth are encouraged to bring friends who are interested in serving others.
Meeting dates: October 2, November 6, December 4, January 8, February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4
