Epiphany Lessons and Carols
Sunday, January 9 at 4:00 p.m.
Under the direction of Randolph S. James, Organist and Director of Music, the Canterbury Choir offers the a Service of Epiphany Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 4pm. This annual service is part of the long tradition in the English Church of vivid Advent, Christmas and Epiphany services, whose purpose is to help us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and prepare for his coming again in glory.

Much of the service is drawn from ancient sources. Some of the images have been used from the beginnings of Israel, through the period of the New Testament, through the Middle Ages to the present day. Every age has found in them a new richness through which God's continuous mercy, revealed most dramatically in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, can be seen.

A festive reception will follow in the Great Hall. This service is free of charge and all are welcome. For more information, please call 508-548-3863, ext. 14!
