MEMBERSHIP
Everyone is welcome to participate in worship, fellowship and the service we provide in the community. Outreach is done within our parish, our community and by our members state-wide, nationally or across the globe.

BECOMING A MEMBER
We believe that an important part of our church is understanding what membership means and then participating in the practices that can help each of us progress deeper into his or her spiritual path.
If you want to become an official member of our congregation let the church office know and talk with the rector and see how to become a member or to transfer your membership here from another parish. We welcome new members at any time and every January at the annual meeting we officially welcome new members into our church family.
* If you have never been baptized please talk to our clergy about finding out how to receive baptism - at any age!
* Baptized but not confirmed. Faith traditions vary; some people get baptized as infants, others wait until adulthood. As the tradition in the Episcopal church is to baptize young children there is a second step to take as an adult. We offer adult classes for those interested in confirmation in the Episcopal church – or if you have been confirmed in another denomination – you may be received into the church.
What is Expected of Members?
Members are encouraged to participate regularly in worship services and in the activities and mission of the parish. Saint Barnabas offers a variety of programs and activities for you to participate in such as children and youth programs, Christian education and formation for adults, music, worship, parish life, and pastoral care. We hope that everyone will participate in some of our activities. We also ask members to provide financial support for our life as a parish through annual pledging. Pledging enriches our lives as well as the lives of others and our community.
