Music at St Barnabas
“Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always Alleluia!” (Hymnal #420)
We love music here and work hard to have a quality musical program.
We give thanks to our many singers -
The advent of autumn promises new energy to our music ministry as voices and instruments, choirs and congregation join in celebration. Our program is under the direction of Deborah Gemma. The choir sings at the service of Holy Eucharist at 10 am on Sundays. The adult choir will resume rehearsals on Thursday, September 7 at 7 PM in the Music Room and Sundays at 9:00 am.
Our small but skilled ensemble of adults and high school students sings anthems in a variety of styles and leads the singing of the psalms. New members are most welcome; for more information, contact Music Director Deb Gemma in person or at firstname.lastname@example.org.

A beautiful Steinway piano given for the sanctuary
The piano is a gift of Fredrica Thompsett, given in thanksgiving for the life of her aunt, Alice Emily Harris. It will be used regularly on Sunday mornings, supplementing the music of our Hutchings pipe organ, and will be a great resource for accompanying classical, contemporary and children’s music. We are so grateful for this generous gift!
