Worship Participants

Worship Participants

Consider joining our community of volunteers who participate in our worship services. Very little would happen without their participation and assistance. If you are interested in learning more about the work of one of the groups described below , please contact the church office (508-548-3863).

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is responsible for the care of the altar and its furnishings, and for the preparations of the sanctuary for worship.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Lay Eucharistic Ministers after receiving training assist with the celebration of the Eucharist, particularly with the serving consecrated wine.

Lectors

Lectors read the lessons and lead the prayers of the people at services.

Ushers

Ushers welcome and assist parishioners at service; they take up the collection and manage the flow of people to communion.

Acolytes

Acolytes light the candles in the sanctuary and process with the cross; they may assist at the altar in preparation of Communion. Youth who are interested in participating in this aspect of church life are invited to join the Acolyte program.
